Collaborating on a new era for MIECHV

On behalf of the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), we look forward to your participation at the 2024 Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) All-Grantee Meeting on January 29-January 31, 2024. We are thrilled to be able to welcome many of you back in person for the first time since 2019 while also offering virtual opportunities to expand access and engagement to a wider MIECHV audience.

The theme of the 2024 All-Grantee Meeting is Collaborating on a new era for MIECHV. This meeting will provide a space for the MIECHV community to share information and best practices to support service expansion, strengthen home visiting workforce development, and advance high quality implementation of evidence-based home visiting and early childhood systems activities.

The recent passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 included the Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act of 2022, which reauthorized the MIECHV Program through FY 2027. This Act represents an opportunity to expand services to more families across the country who face challenges and barriers to achieving health and well-being.

We hope your participation in this meeting will offer time to reflect on your hard work and resiliency over the past several years and fuel your passion to continue this great work into the future. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to providing high quality home visiting services to children and families in states and communities across the United States.

The 2024 MIECHV All-Grantee Meeting is scheduled adjacent to Start Early’s Home Visiting Summit, which is scheduled for January 31-February 2, 2024. Both events will be held in the metro-Washington, DC area and will offer coordinated, but distinct, opportunities for learning and engagement.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Warren, MD, MPH, FAAP
Associate Administrator, Maternal and Child Health Bureau
