1:30 PM EST to 6:00 PM EST

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Pre-Conference Meetings
Beginner CQI Training: PDSA Feedback
This interactive training is designed to reinforce participants’ understanding and application of the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle while enhancing skills in delivering effective feedback to Local Implementing Agencies (LIAs). In the first half, participants will reconnect with the foundational elements of PDSAs through a brief refresher, followed by a review of current methods for collecting and responding to PDSA submissions. Through hands-on activities and group discussions, attendees will explore what makes a strong PDSA and common areas where LIAs may need additional support. The session will include practical strategies for identifying gaps and offering targeted, actionable feedback. The second half focuses on applying feedback strategies in real-time. Participants will engage in activities to examine different approaches to oral and written feedback. Whether you are new to reviewing PDSAs or looking to refine your coaching approach, this session provides concrete tools and opportunities to grow your confidence in supporting LIA improvement work.
Participants should have a baseline understanding of CQI methodology, including the components of the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle.

Advanced CQI Training: Key Driver Diagrams
This session offers a hands-on opportunity to learn best practices for creating and using a Key Driver Diagram (KDD) in CQI projects. Participants will hear from experienced facilitators and peers. Participants are strongly encouraged but not required to bring a KDD they are developing or have used in a recent CQI project. They will have the opportunity to share and refine their own KDD. Participants will leave this session with new skills to put into practice, practical resources, and a strong foundation for using KDDs in their CQI work.
Participants should come to the session with a working understanding of SMART aims and measures. The session will not include a deep dive into these components of key driver diagrams.
